  Evolution: The Deal Breaker

  first off i do believe there are some evidences of evolution or i should probably say adaptation.

  i do believe this exists in various forms.. however the deal breaker for me with evolution is the chick or egg problem.

  there are tons of theories that get passed around as proof of evolution however these are usually examples much further down the evolutionary chain.. what i mean is let's start at the beginning!

  One Person Baptized at Circuit Assembly

  i went to the circuit assembly with my wife yesterday.

  i have to keep peace in the family.

  there were less than 1,000 people for both the morning and the afternoon sessions.

  Kingdom Hall Attenders: Consider Stopping the Use of Loaded Language

  it's been a long time since i attended, but i understand that many of you still go to the kingdom hall for your various reasons.. a huge thing that helped me in my mentally breaking from their beliefs was to stop using their terms that put you, virtually automatically, into their thought mode.. using terms like "the truth," jw's feel special about themselves and this helps them separate themselves from "the world.

  " by incorporating loaded language, jw's learn not to think, but merely to memorize words and phrases instead of analyzing a situation.. the reasons someone misses meetings is because they are "spiritually weak.

  " they might be involved in "worldly thinking.".

  baker '...I started prayin to just Lord and my wife could not wait to wail against me when over, like where,s Jehovah? I said he heard it if he is a god....'

I am experiencing a serious situation in my family. My wife has started to criticize the wording I use in my home prayers. Particularly she does not like it when I refer to Jehovah as Lord. Imagine how shocked I was when she first complained. Just imagine, complaining about the prayers of the head of the house. Imagine her not wanting me to call Jehovah Lord. I am afraid the Lord, Jehovah, will take his spirit away from my household, if he hasn't done it already. She seems to be getting increasingly critical and being as the Lord has given you the responsibility to protect the congregation from such thinking and to readjust the thinking of those leaving the path, I have to ask that you talk to her to correct her thinking.   I went to see my Dr about the blood card issue

  i booked a double appointment so that she wouldn't be rushed.

  i explained that i'd been brought up in the jw's and woken up to what a load of shite it was.

  i explained that they have changed the blood card and that the elders in the cong are being told to effectively force people into signing it.

  Update - Talk # 6 THE FLOOD OF NOAH’S DAY AND YOU

  instead of scraping this talk they updated it.. so they still try and make this look like it happened, and that there is plenty of evidence.to do that they refer to the (w08 6/1 8) found at http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2008411the main evidence is that floods have happened in the past, including.... geologists studying the landscape of the northwestern united states believe that as many as 100 ancient catastrophic floods once washed over the area.

  one such flood is said to have roared through the region with a wall of water 2,000 feet [600 m] high, traveling at 65 miles an hour [105 km/hr]—a flood of 500 cubic miles [2,000 cu km] of water, weighing more than two trillion tons.

  similar findings have led other scientists to believe that a global flood is a distinct possibility.. i could not find such an event, except for remembering one of those "disaster" shows on discover about that.
